AppSumo lifetime licenses and AI credits

AppSumo customers keep the product entitlements promised with their lifetime license. AI credits are a separate metered usage allowance rather than a lifetime product feature limit.

What Kaptr.me continues to honor

Eligible AppSumo lifetime licenses keep the product features and feature-limit entitlements promised with the original offer. This includes the campaign commitment to map the license to the corresponding Kaptr.me plan and to grandfather eligible AppSumo customers into promised future product features and feature limits.

The lifetime license remains a lifetime product entitlement while Kaptr.me operates under the applicable deal and service terms. It is not converted into a monthly subscription simply because the current public plans have changed.

Feature limits

Kaptr.me preserves the product limits expressly attached to the purchased AppSumo tier. The original public deal listed Tier 1 with 3 dashboards and 10 live snapshots per dashboard, and Tier 2 with unlimited dashboards and unlimited live snapshots per dashboard. Later public subscription limits do not replace those lifetime entitlements.

The interface and technical implementation can change as Kaptr.me evolves, but an implementation change is not intended to rewrite the entitlement purchased through AppSumo. If your account does not reflect the tier you bought, contact support so the license can be checked.

Why AI credits are separate

Kaptr AI uses a credit system because each AI action consumes remote processing. Credits are therefore metered consumption units: they measure usage of AI processing rather than access to the core Kaptr.me product.

The published AppSumo deal promised future product features and feature limits, but it did not promise a recurring quantity of AI-processing credits. The lifetime license therefore remains the lifetime product entitlement, while remote AI execution uses a separately acquired or expressly granted credit balance.

AI feature access vs AI usage

There is an important difference between a feature being available and the consumption required to run that feature. AppSumo customers can retain the product features promised to them while AI processing uses separately acquired credits or another AI allowance.

Example: an AppSumo account can have access to an AI action in Kaptr.me, while the actual AI runs are charged against a separately purchased credit balance. Buying credits does not replace or cancel the underlying lifetime license.

If your entitlement looks wrong

If your Kaptr.me account does not show the product entitlement you purchased through AppSumo, email contact@kaptr.me from the address associated with the purchase and include the AppSumo tier or order information if available.
