Activate your license
- On AppSumo, open Account → Products and click Activate next to Kaptr.me.
- You arrive on kaptr.me/appsumo. If you are already signed in to Kaptr.me, the license is linked to that account at once.
- Otherwise choose Create my account or I already have an account. Once you have signed in (or confirmed your e-mail address), Kaptr.me brings you back to the activation page and links the license.
- Install the Kaptr.me Chrome extension to capture pages and keep them refreshed.
One license is linked to one Kaptr.me account. Use the same browser for the whole activation: if you switch device before signing in, simply click Activate again from your AppSumo account.

Your tier is shown in Settings → Subscription. These entitlements are lifetime: they do not turn into a subscription, and later changes to the public plans do not reduce them.
Monthly AI credits
2026 licenses include Kaptr AI credits: each month your account receives the credits of your tier (table above). Credits pay for AI actions such as generating a Kapboard with Kaptr Fast, Vision or Agent, asking questions about a Kapboard, cloud refreshes and AI meeting recaps. Unused monthly credits do not roll over. If you need more in a given month, you can add a credit pack from the Upgrade page; packs never replace your license.
If you already use Kaptr.me
Activating on an existing account keeps all your Kapboards and snapshots. If that account has a running paid subscription, the subscription stays in place; your AppSumo tier takes over automatically when you cancel the subscription from Manage billing. Contact us if you want help choosing.
Upgrade to a higher tier
Upgrade through AppSumo: AppSumo then sends the new tier to Kaptr.me and your account changes automatically. Each Kaptr.me account holds one AppSumo license at a time; to move to a higher tier, upgrade the license on AppSumo rather than activating a second code on the same account.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by AppSumo under its refund policy (60 days after purchase). When AppSumo refunds a license, its tier ends on Kaptr.me: your account returns to the plan it had before (or Free). Your Kapboards and snapshots are not deleted; those above the Free limits stay locked until you choose a plan.
If something looks wrong
If the activation page shows an error, or your account does not show the tier you bought, email contact@kaptr.me from the address you use on Kaptr.me and include your AppSumo license key or order number.
